Hey,

I'm Ellen.

I am an equine and travel photographer passionate about capturing poignant memories that will last generations. I am based in the north shore of Massachusetts, but frequently travel to find the best shot. My passion for photography ignited in 2010, when I took film photography classes in High School. Since then, I can always be found with a camera around my neck! I enjoy shooting both digital and film formats (nothing can beat the romanticism of film!). Read on to find out about my specialties and my inspiration for my photos!

The horses that started it all

My family has had horses since 2007, and our life has been so much more meaningful, and joyful, because of it. Our Jetta (grey draft cross gelding) and Red (chesnut warmblood gelding) gave our family a happiness that can only be described in fairy tales. Thanks to my super Dad (photographer and videographer extraordinaire), I have beautiful photos and videos of these memories to look back on. My Dad was there for every lesson, event or competition with a camera in his hands. He never missed any minute. I'll be the first to admit, I didn't appreciate these moments as much as a kid. As I became older, life started throwing me curve balls that would change everything I ever knew. Now that my father and Jetta are no longer physically with us, those once insignificant photos and videos are now cherished memories that I hold close to my heart. That’s why I do what I do – to provide everyone with the opportunity to have a time capsule of their own cherished moments.

Capturing ANimals and Their people

I am most passionate about capturing the bond between animals and their humans. The time we have with them is never enough, which makes our relationships with them that more special. I take these photos so we’ll always remember their legacies and our special bonds with them. I specialize in Equine portraiture and Equine sport photography, but I am open to special requests with other animals!

Travel Photography

Nothing ignites my creative soul more than film photography! I travel frequently for fun, and no matter where I go, I always have my handy 35mm canon A1 film camera. So far, I've traveled to 17 states and two countries outside of the U.S. (with ambitions to continue seeing more of the world!), and have captured so many beautiful moments along they way. My work has been featured in the Photographer's Forum magazine, and exhibitions at the Dover Art Center in Dover, NH. You can find my prints for sale on my website!
